Druzy blue banded crystal coral fossil (Charlevoix stone)

Favosites fossils also known as Charlevoix stones are an ancient fossil species made of hollow canals. These two beautiful specimens have had silica enriched water fill these channels at different levels, with slightly different mineral compositions, to create the beautiful multicolored banding effect throughout the druzy pockets over millions of years. Found in Illinois. Hand mined, ethically sourced.
