This piece is so interesting and makes a great display piece! I am not sure of the exact species but it’s either a coral or a sea sponge fossil about 450 million years old. Dipped in hydrochloric acid to expose the crystals from the limestone that was coating them. Found in Illinois, hand mined, ethically sourced.
